At the heart of the set is the Platinum-plated E string, which delivers brilliance, purity, and projection with two available gauges—0.26 mm for a bright, silvery sound or 0.267 mm for a slightly darker, more voluminous tone. The A string is supplied in synthetic/aluminum as standard, but can be upgraded to steel/chromesteel for added brightness and edge. The D and G strings, both silver-wound, provide depth, resonance, and balance in the lower register.
